LeAnn Reed currently serves The Institute of World Politics in a dual roll assisting the CFO in the Business Office and The Director of Financial Aid.
Ms. Reed was born in Boise, Idaho and as a young girl moved to a little logging town in northern Idaho. Orofino, which means fine gold, is where she lived until leaving home for college. She spent most of her time enjoying the mountains and river; horses, motorcycles, hunting, fishing and the great outdoors. She moved to the Washington, D.C. area in 1989 and currently lives with her husband and one of their seven daughters in Clarksburg, Maryland. Ms. Reed's family has a long history of military service (Army, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Marines) and public service (firefighters, EMTs, and police officer), and takes great pride in the service her family has provided to the people of this great Nation.
Since moving to the Washington, DC area, Ms. Reed has spent nearly 20 years supporting government contracting companies with accounting and finance. In the course of her work with government agencies, she has held security clearances with the Department of Justice and the Department of Defense. Her expertise is working with management, employees, consultants, and vendors supporting government contracts and company requirements. She has extensive experience in payroll, benefits, accounts payable and employee relationships. She takes great pride in her work ethic and her ability to communicate with management, employees, vendors and government personnel assisting with problem resolutions.
