Michelle Knight joined IWP’s Office of Institutional Advancement in 2015 as the Assistant Director of Foundations.
Prior to joining IWP, she has served several organizations assisting with major gift development, event planning, board development, grant writing, and strategic planning. As a freelancer, she has provided grant and proposal writing services to nonprofits helping them to secure more funding.
She earned her B.A. in World History from Messiah College in 2009. While there, she was inducted into Phi Alpha Theta, the National History Honor Society. She also has held internship positions with The National Civil War Museum and the Institute for Cultural Partnerships, both in Harrisburg, PA.
She currently serves on the board of the Warrenton-Fauquier Jaycees.
Michelle lives in Warrenton, Virginia with her husband and daughter. She enjoys being outdoors, crafting and travelling.
