Donating to The Kosciuszko Chair of Polish Studies: Matching Grant Fund, Internship Scholarship, and More
Thank you for your interest in supporting the Kościuszko Chair!
The Institute of World Politics is a 501c(3) higher educational institution under IRS regulations. As such, any gift to the Kościuszko Chair is tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Please follow the instructions below for making the donation of your choice.
Matching Grant Fund
The Kościuszko Chair was awarded to IWP by The American Institute of Polish Culture (AIPC) in 2008 as a $1,000,000 matching grant. As part of the agreement, the Institute pledged to match AIPC's original gift within three years of the signing. All Matching Grant funds will be kept separate and restricted until the $1 million goal has been reached, at which time they will be combined with the initial AIPC grant to form the new chair.
Gifts toward reaching this goal should be made out to The Institute of World Politics with Kościuszko Chair Matching Grant specified in the "for" section. Please note that any gifts made out to The Institute of World Politics with Kościuszko Chair and no other specification in the "for" section will be earmarked for the Matching Grant Fund.
Kościuszko Chair General Operating Fund
Dr. Marek Jan Chodakiewicz is the current holder of the Kościuszko Chair of Polish Studies at IWP and must travel to raise funds for the Matching Grant. General administrative assistance is needed as well. Therefore, such gifts will be earmarked for immediate expenditure when needed and should be made out to The Institute of World Politics with Kościuszko Chair General Operating Fund specified in the "for" section.
