Army Vice Chief of Staff speaks at IWP
On Friday, October 29, Vice Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army General Peter W. Chiarelli spoke to a capacity crowd of students, alumni, friends, and supporters of The Institute of World Politics. General Chiarelli's address concentrated on challenges facing the U.S. Army, particularly the future structure of the Army's forces.
IWP student accepts award on behalf of DIA's Stability Operations Information Centers
C4ISR Journal celebrated its 2010 Big 25 Award finalists and revealed the Top 5 winners during a banquet at the 10th annual C4ISR Journal Conference in Washington, D.C. in October 2010. DIA's Stability Operations Information Centers (SOICs) of which IWP student Matt Flynn was part in Afghanistan, won in the "Organizations" category. Matt was there to accept the award.
Supporting IWP is a family affair: Meet Shirley Carroll
When IWP's Army Senior Fellow COL Reginald Bostick was promoted in a ceremony at the Institute, he praised the school's family-like atmosphere and esprit de corps. These qualities are evidenced not only in the school's classrooms, but throughout its ranks of friends and supporters. Case in point: Shirley Carroll, mother of IWP staffer Kathy Carroll and the inaugural member of IWP's 1947 Club.
