Russell Hitt: Builder of Bently Hall and benefactor today
If you have ever been inside IWP's library building, you have seen the work of Russell Hitt's company. After Mr. Donald E. Bently purchased the Marlatt Mansion and its adjoining buildings, Hitt Contracting, Inc. conducted an historic restoration of what is now known as Bently Hall.
IWP welcomes 43 new students
The Institute of World Politics recently welcomed 40 new students for its Masters Degree programs, and three new students for its Certificate of Graduate Studies programs.
In Memoriam: Alumnus Al Villa
Al Villa, November 13th, 1965 - July 18th, 2011, passed away at the University of Virginia Medical Center, Charlottesville, VA. Al was a member of the first graduating class at IWP, where he will be missed.
Former Army Senior Fellow takes up new post at Ft. Bragg

Friday, July 29, 2011 (Santa Barbara, CA) - Philanthropist and entrepreneur Donald E. Bently, of Minden, Nevada, was honored recently at a special gathering at the Reagan Ranch near Santa Barbara, California. For more than twenty years he has provided leadership and major financial support to The Institute of World Politics.
