Piotr Bajda is an Assistant Professor in the Political Science Institute of Cardinal Wyszynski University in Poland (Warsaw Catholic University) and a Research Fellow in the Institute of Political Studies at the Polish Academy of Science. He received his Ph.D. in political science from the Polish Academy of Science in 2010. Since 2012 he has been the Trustee of the International Visegrad Fund for Poland. He is the author of the book Political Elites in Slovakia 1989-2010 published in 2010 in Poland. An English version will be published by the Pittsburgh University Press in 2014.

Dr. Bajda is interested in Central European issues, especially in the Visegrad cooperation and in Central European-U.S. relations. He received a grant from the Tadeusz Kosciuszko Foundation for 3-month study visit in the U.S. His current project is a book on the behavior of small states on the international stage, with a case study of Slovakia's foreign policy.
