Adam Szafranski

Adam SzafranskiAdam Szafranski is a Polish junior academic and university instructor affiliated with the Faculty of Law and Administration of Warsaw University. He holds Doctor of Laws Degree after defending a dissertation entitled "The Public Entrepreneur in Relation to Economic Freedom" at Warsaw University. His academic career includes scholarship research at the University Graz (Austria) and studies at the University of Regensburg (Germany).

In addition, Adam Szafranski is an expert of the Bureau of Research Studies of the Polish Parliament (Biuro Analiz Sejmowych). He has political experience as well - he is a former President of the Energy Regulatory Office, the main task of which is supervision on of the energy market in Poland. Earlier, he practiced law at several legal firms and was the Chief of the German School of Law (a body established by the University of Bonn and Warsaw University).

Currently, Adam Szafranski is research fellow at the Institute of World Politics (2011 February - August). He is particularly interested in the relationship between the national government and the public and private energy sectors. His key legal interest concerns researching the structures of strategic control the national government needs over the entire energy industry, the structures of public authorities as participants in the production of energy, and the structures of public control over energy market constraints.
