On Tuesday, November 13, COL Larry M. Wortzel, Ph.D. (USA, Ret.), discussed "Military Strategy and China Today" in the Military Strategy class. Please note that, due to technical difficulties, the first 17 minutes of the recording are more difficult to hear than the rest of the lecture.

Military Strategy: An Overview of the Theorists of Warfare

This course introduces the classic statements of, and commentaries on, Western military strategic thought which have dominated most warfare since the Renaissance. The course will examine how various military concepts are integrated into national-level security strategy ("grand strategy") and the role they have played in history, statecraft, and war. The course culminates in a seminar with strategy division chiefs from the Department of Defense.
