IWP alumna Mallorie Marino to speak at ASCE conference

On August 5, 2011, alumna Mallorie Marino will represent IWP at the Twenty-First Annual Meeting of the Association for the Study of the Cuban Economy (ASCE) in Miami, Florida.  The conference, which runs from August 4-6, is on the topic of "Cuba's Evolving Socio-Economic and Political Landscape." 

Mallorie, a new member of ASCE, will discuss "The Cuban Apparatus for Active Measures:  Propaganda and Disinformation against the United States," a topic with which she became familiar while writing a research paper for Dr. J. Michael Waller's Foreign Propaganda, Perceptions and Policy class.
