IWP students volunteer with The Mission Continues

On October 13, IWP's Student Government Association (SGA) gathered a group of students and alumni to volunteer for a day with The Mission Continues, a veteran-run group that helps to improve the community around service men and women once they are back home.
"We worked on cleaning up a playground that had been burned and destroyed," said Amanda, an IWP student who serves on the SGA board. "We cleared out debris and made room for a new playground to be built.
SGA has organized two other upcoming service projects: On November 10, 2012, students will volunteer again with Mission Continues, and on December 15, students will volunteer with Wreaths Across America and will lay wreaths on the graves in Arlington Cemetery.
