Prof. Chris Harmon discusses the new face of terrorism

In a segment for Federal News Radio, which appeared on May 31, 2013, IWP Director of Career Services Derrick Dortch interviewed Dr. Christopher C. Harmon about terrorism today.

Prof. Harmon, who teaches the terrorism and counterterrorism course at IWP, discussed recent attacks in Boston and London and whether they represent a change in strategy for terrorists around the world.

He also described "individualized terrorism," in which attacks are planned and carried out by one person or very small terror cells. Motivations, recruitment, and preventive measures are discussed throughout the episode.
