April 30, 2012  |  ARTICLES

Poland's EU Presidency and the future of the Union was the subject of a recent article by Pawel Styrna - IWP international affairs student and Kosciuszko Chair research assistant - for the Selous Foundation for Public Policy Research (SFPPR) News & Analysis Section.

In his analysis, Styrna critically assesses the Polish Presidency and asks the provocative question of whether the EU is heading in the right direction. He points out the danger of the Euro-federalist attempt to utilize the Eurozone crisis - the inevitable result of bloated Euro-socialist welfare states and their deficit spending - to legitimize further encroachments against the sovereignty of EU member-states.
