Essay contest
  • The Internatinal Association for Intelligence Education is holding an essay competition.  Essays are due March 15, 2012.  Topic: Describe an "ideal future" for intelligence education where theory is balanced with practice.  Compare this ideal future to the current state of intelligence education, and recommend a way forward to close this gap.  Please tell us what perspective you are writing from: professional, graduate student, or undergraduate student. Internships, fellowships, and career ideas
  • Foreign Policy Initiative's 2012 Spring Internship Program: The Foreign Policy Initiative (FPI) Internship Program seeks college seniors and graduate students of the highest caliber with interest in the fields of, but not limited to, international studies, defense, national security, democracy and human rights, political science, and foreign affairs. FPI interns are given substantial work in current events research, policy communication, and think tank operations. Interns are encouraged to attend stimulating discussions around the local D.C. area and to interact closely with FPI's in-house experts. Though the FPI internship program is unpaid, participants gain marketable skills, a broader understanding of the policy world, invaluable experience, and networking opportunities.

  • Hudson Institute Internship Program - Hudson Institute is one of the oldest and most respected think tanks in the world. Founded in 1961 by Herman Kahn and headquartered in Washington D.C. the Institute offers internships in our office in Washington, D.C. to undergraduates, graduates, and postgraduate students. Hudson has garnered local, national, and international acclaim with its hands-on research and offers a unique opportunity for its interns to work with Hudson researchers in policy areas such as Campaign Reform, Economic and Employment Policy, Middle East Studies, Philanthropy and Civic Renewal, National Security Studies, and Science in Public Policy.
