Library Holdings & Information Access

The Institute of World Politics’ Library currently contains more than 25,000 volumes. The Library also houses the private libraries of the late William J. Casey, the former Director of Central Intelligence and of renowned Middle East Scholar, George Lenczowski. In addition to a basic collection of foreign affairs periodicals and reference works, the IWP Library has several specialized resources. These include collections of books in: U.S. foreign policy; U.S. intelligence and counterintelligence; and primary-source Cold War materials in Soviet/Russian/East European affairs and U.S. internal security.

High-speed and Wireless Internet access is available throughout the library and Electronic Resources, including e-books, journals, newspapers and other materials are being purchased to compliment the Institute's unique print collections. 

LIBRARY SUBJECT GUIDES are being developed to assist Researchers, and the IWP Library and its Web Site may be considered under Permanent Development. All users -whether Students, Faculty or other friends and members of the IWP Community - are very welcome and encouraged to offer suggestions/comments and make Recommendations for Acquisitions or Web Site Inclusions. Those requesting Reference, Research or other assistance may also contact Dmitry Kulik, Library Manager.
