These competitive scholarships provide up to $4,000 per semester and are awarded based on the following criteria: financial need; academic qualifications; a Character Recommendation; and an essay. The Character Recommendation form is located in the application packet. Returning students must have received at least a 3.33 GPA during the previous academic year in order to qualify. Students receiving the scholarship for the fall and spring semesters must receive at least a 3.33 GPA average in the fall semester in order to maintain financial aid for the spring. Students eligible for this scholarship must be in possession of current and official visa. Non-U.S. citizens who are permanent residents of the U.S. are not eligible for this scholarship. Students must also be enrolled full-time (at least 9 credit hours per semester), in accordance with their visa requirements.
