Heather brings 15 years of experience in her Human Resources consulting role at TPO. Heather has worked in small-to-large companies and Fortune 500 environments. She has talent development and workforce planning experience across a variety of industries including a public utility, a healthcare company, two consumer foods retailers, and a non-profit agency.

Heather’s broad experience in the full spectrum of HR programs allowed her to guide executive teams and direct key HR and Talent Development functions. She contributed personal expertise in the areas of training & development, performance management, succession planning, recruitment & retention, employee relations, and instructional design. With her Collaborative Leadership style, she served as trusted advisor to senior executives in planning and managing strategic HRM change initiatives which drove business success. Her passion for high employee engagement led to the establishment of a culture of learning and appreciation that increased employee morale and performance.

Before joining TPO, Heather was at PWCSA, an ongoing recipient of Platinum and Gold Awards for Utility Excellence, where her primary areas of focus were training and development, performance management, employee relations & recognition, and workforce planning & employment. Heather crafted talent development strategies to ensure a positive and engaged workplace and worked closely with C-Suite on HR initiatives such a leadership development, job analysis, performance management, competency development, onboarding, and employee recognition. Heather also served as the Human Resources Manager, Recruitment Specialist, and Training & Development Specialist for three U.S. companies and a Lead Instructional Designer for a Fortune 500 company. Since 2016, she enjoys working as Adjunct Faculty at an award-winning online university. She helps to develop the next generation of HR talent through knowledge sharing, coaching and mentoring.

Heather earned an M.S. in Human Resource Development from Rochester Institute of Technology and completed a year of her doctoral work in Human Resource Management. Heather maintains a Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification and is a Society for Human Resources Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).
