Welcome, military family members!
IWP administers a number of education programs that are directed towards active duty military personnel, veterans, and dependents. The benefits for each program will be dependent upon certain eligibility requirements that will be outlined in the information below. We ask that if you qualify (or believe that you may qualify) for the following program, please do not hesitate to inquire. For additional information contact a VA education representative at 1-888-GIBILL-1 or you can access the VA Customer HelpDesk at https://gibill.custhelp.com/app/utils/login_form/redirect/ask.
- Chapter 35 Survivors & Dependents Assistance (DEA) provides education and training opportunities to eligible dependents of certain veterans.
- Other benefit options of a servicemember or veteran would need to be transferred to the spouse/dependent. These options are outlined here: https://www.iwp.edu/admissions/military-and-veteran-community/educational-benefits-for-veterans/
How to Apply
In attempts to make the application process as seamless as possible, we suggest that new students who are interested in using military benefits, complete the VONAPP (Veterans’ On-Line Application) to electronically submit their information to determine their eligibility. To access and complete the application, please go to this link.
Once you have completed the VONAPP, the following must be provided to the Office of the Registrar in order to process your benefits claim:
Certificate of Eligibility/Notice of Basic Eligibility
VA Certification Request Form
Once you have finalized your course schedule for the upcoming term, please submit a VA Certification Request Form to ensure that your benefits are paid in a timely manner.
In the event that you adjust your schedule, you will need to contact the Office of the Registrar within 24-48 hours and submit an updated VA Certification Request Form.
