Tuition & Fees
IWP charges tuition by the number of credit hours pursued each semester. Therefore, students are free to pursue as many or as few classes per semester as their schedules permit without encountering a financial penalty. Tuition rates are subject to change.

Tuition Discounts
IWP offers a reduced tuition rate for the following individuals. These discounts are applicable for those enrolled in both full-time and part-time status.
- Civilian personnel directly employed by the U.S. Federal Government in full-time status (excepting personnel employed as interns).
- Sworn or civilian law enforcement individuals.
- Active-duty military service members.
- Military spouses/partners who can provide IWP with their Military Dependent ID.

Scholarships
Scholarships for Full-Time Students
Full-time students take 10 or more credits per semester.
These scholarships were established by Louis DeJoy and Amb. Aldona Woś in 2017. They are awarded to qualified M.A. students who are attending IWP full time (10 credits or more per semester). These scholarships cover up to full tuition per semester. These grants are awarded at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee based on admissions application materials and/or a scholarship application package (for returning students). Recipients will be expected to succeed academically, be active members of the IWP community, and be dedicated to the spirit of service and civic duty.
IWP Great Statesman Scholarships are awarded to outstanding prospective and current students at the discretion of the Institute’s Scholarship Committee based on application materials and/or the quality of scholarship of current students.
Each year, the Institute may award a limited number of full-tuition grants to highly qualified M.A. applicants who most fully embody the mission of the Institute. Recipients of this award must be enrolled in at least ten credit hours per semester. These grants are awarded at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee based on admissions application materials and/or a scholarship application package (for returning students).
The Institute awards to qualified M.A. students a limited number of competitive scholarships that cover up to $9,000 off tuition per semester. Recipients of this award must be enrolled in at least ten credit hours per semester. These grants are awarded at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee based on admissions application materials and/or a scholarship application package (for returning students).
The Institute awards to qualified M.A. students a limited number of competitive scholarships that cover $6,600 off tuition per semester. Recipients of this award must be enrolled in at least ten credit hours per semester. M.A. applicants who do not qualify for a Presidential or Statesman Scholarship may be considered for the Institute Scholarship, which covers $4,400 off tuition per semester. Recipients of this award must be enrolled in at least ten credit hours per semester. These grants are awarded at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee based on admissions application materials and/or a scholarship application package (for returning students).
Scholarships for Part-Time or Full-Time Students
These scholarships were established by Marjorie Hayes in honor of her husband, Joe C. Hayes. They are awarded to qualified M.A. students who are attending IWP at least part time (6 or more credits per semester). These scholarships cover between $1,100 and $3,300 off tuition per semester. These grants are awarded at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee based on admissions application materials and/or a scholarship application package (for returning students).
This scholarship was established in honor of the late Tom Atwood, who formerly served as Senior Vice President for Institutional Advancement at IWP. This scholarship is awarded to qualified M.A. students who are attending IWP at least part time (6 or more credits per semester). These grants are awarded at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee based on admissions application materials and/or a scholarship application package (for returning students).
Scholarship Deadline
If you are a new applicant for the MA program, you must submit your completed M.A. application according to the following deadlines (you do not need to submit a separate scholarship application):

If you are a returning student who wishes to be re-considered for a scholarship (and you have completed at least 16 credit hours), you must submit the Scholarship Application Form by the same deadlines above.
