IWP professor, in Chicago, lectures on WWII Polish uprising

IWP Research Professor of History Marek Chodakiewicz is participating in a Chicago observation of the 60th anniversary of the anti-Nazi uprising in Poland.


As part of a series of events, he will deliver a presentation September 16 at the Chicago Cultural Center on the air power dimension of the uprising. The program includes veterans of the Polish Home Army resistance and veterans of the US Army Air Force 100th Bomb Group.


An internationally recognized scholar on Polish resistance to the Nazis and the Soviets, Dr. Chodakiewicz was a consultant to CNN for its acclaimed documentary, Warsaw Rising, released earlier this year.


He is presently on tour with his new book, Between Nazis and Soviets: Occupation Politics in Poland, 1939-1947.
