Naval War College prof at IWP on Aristotle and political warfare

Dr. Carnes Lord, a professor of strategy at the Naval War College, was a guest lecturer at our new History of Political Warfare course on June 9, speaking on political warfare in ancient Greece and Rome.


He focused on Aristotle and rhetoric, but discussed a range of political warfare devices from classical antiquity. Dr. Lord has written extensively on political warfare and public diplomacy, and has translated works by Aristotle, including The Politics, into English. He served as national security adviser to the Vice President of the United States.
