NPR airs Russia debate with IWP professor

Date: October 30, 2007

On November 7, National Public Radio aired excerpts from the October 30 debate, "Russia Is Becoming Our Enemy Again," at the Asia Society and Museum in New York City. IWP Professor J. Michael Waller teamed with former Wall Street Journal Moscow correspondent Claudia Rosett and current Wall Street Journal editorial board member and columnist Bret Stephens, arguing in the affirmative.

Opposing the motion were Robert Legvold of Columbia University, Mark Medish of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, and Nina Krushcheva, great-granddaughter of former Soviet Communist Party leader Nikita Khrushchev.

NPR's Corey Flintoff wrote a summary of the debate and narrated a 50 minute audio excerpt at: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=16020502. The full audio of the debate is available on the same page.
