The day-long field trip, a highlight of the semester, included a visit to the Visitors Center and a tour of the battlefield led by licensed guide, Bob Steenstra. The three-hour bus tour included stops at Oak Ridge, Seminary Ridge, Little Round Top, and the Angle. The day concluded at the National Cemetery, with Prof. Smith reciting and discussing Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address.
