Army War College recommends two books by IWP professors

The US Army War College recommends books by two IWP professors in its most recent bibliography on irregular warfare. The books are:

Both books have won critical acclaim in their fields. “John Tierney has made a singular contribution to U. S. military history,” says Andrew J. Bacevich, author of The New American Militarism: How Americans are Seduced by War

Army magazine says, “Tierney rises above a tactical examination and explains unconventional warfare on a strategic level, which includes politicians and populations.”

Armed Forces Journal says of Waller’s book, “this guide offers ways that could discredit, divide and ultimately squelch the enemy into a blob of irrelevance.”

“For those who find themselves in a position . . . to influence our image among allies and adversaries, this book [Fighting the War of Ideas like a Real War] should be placed at the top of their must-read list,” says the US Naval Institute’s Proceedings magazine.
