No more application deadlines: New open policy allows for more flexible enrollment

No need to worry any more about missing an application deadline for the summer or fall terms.

On March 5, IWP announced the elimination of its application deadlines for prospective students.

“We’re making this change immediately so that more people can take advantage of the expanding educational opportunities here at IWP,” said Vice President and Provost J. Michael Waller. “We have a number of new courses and certificate programs ready to be announced, and we want to offer the widest possible opportunities for people to enroll.”

The Academic Council unanimously voted to abolish application deadlines effective immediately. Students must be registered for classes by the Friday of the first week of classes for any given term.

Prospective Master’s degree students who applied prior to February 1, 2013 will have priority where there may be classroom space considerations, but anyone interested in being considered for admission to IWP is welcome to apply on an open basis.

At present, the open application policy is in effect through the Summer 2014 term.

Deadlines remain in place for students seeking financial aid. For more information, click here.
