IWP trustee Francis X. Ryan has just completed a walk across America to raise awareness for teenage mental health and funds for Good Shepherd Services, where he serves as Chairman of the Board. The 2,806-mile walk began on March 15 in San Diego, California, and Mr. Ryan completed his walk on August 9, 2014 in Ocean City, Maryland.
Located in Baltimore, Maryland, Good Shepherd Services provides treatment programs for adolescents ranging in age from thirteen to twenty-one years who are experiencing emotional or behavioral difficulties of a psychiatric nature. Of his walk, Mr. Ryan comments, “We’re trying to let people know how critically important it is to provide care of a therapeutic, psychiatric nature for children who are in need.”
In addition to his work with Good Shepherd, Mr. Ryan serves as Chair of the Audit Committee of The Institute of World Politics and as an Audit Committee Member for the Archdiocese of Baltimore. He is President and CPA at F.X. Ryan & Associates, Ltd.
