Psychotherapists work together to help Ukrainian refugees deal with trauma.

New York City-based psychotherapist Anya Lukianov is a second generation Ukrainian-American with expertise in complex trauma. Her background gives her uncommon insight into how to support refugees from the Ukraine War who’ve come to the United States.

Lukianov is project coordinator of the Refugee Support Project of the New York-based Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Study Center. The organization seeks to ensure that refugees from Ukraine get needed psychological support. Lukianov matches the needs of refugees with the skills of the volunteers who want to help them.
