Health Care and Medical Insurance

There is no student health center at the Institute, so any emergency cases are referred to the George Washington University Hospital’s Ronald Reagan Institute for Emergency Medicine, located approximately one mile away.

The District of Columbia requires that all full-time students under the age of 26 be immunized against Poliomyelitis, Measles, Mumps, Rubella (German Measles), Diphtheria, and Tetanus. No one may be allowed to register or attend classes until compliance is documented. Proof of immunization forms will be mailed to each new student upon acceptance. The forms must be filled out by the student’s physician or local Health Department. Family records are not accepted.

The Institute does not currently offer medical insurance for its students. Please contact the Office of Student Affairs at studentaffairs@iwp.edu if you have any questions.

Housing

The Institute does not provide student housing, and students are responsible for making their own housing arrangements. Several housing options, however, are available in the vicinity of IWP.  See our student housing page  for more information.
