About the Lecture: Mr. Barth will give an overview of what artificial intelligence is, its applications, the directions in which it’s heading, and a comparison of DoD and Chinese objectives and approaches to it.

About the Speaker: Mr. Barth graduated from IWP in 2006 and currently supports the Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence in the management of defense intelligence priorities. Prior to supporting the Office of the Director of National Intelligence in a similar capacity, he completed a career as a Marine Corps intelligence officer with combat tours in Iraq and Somalia, retiring at the rank of colonel. His background is in developing intelligence capabilities and processes. He is also a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP).
