IWP CAREER SEMINAR: What jobs should I pursue while waiting for my dream job in National Security & International Affairs?
Thursday, October 31, 2013
4:30 – 6:00 PM
Marlatt Mansion

Getting a job in National Security and International Affairs is not an easy one. Many of these jobs are highly sought after and few in number, and budget cuts in the government have reduced the number of Federal and government contractor positions and cut down on certain positions within the military.

Your IWP degree will get you a job in the government or with a contractor but it may take several months to 2 years to achieve your goals and get your dream job. Between applying for and winning the job and getting a security clearance the process could take some time and you have to be prepared for that.

So what kind of jobs should you pursue while you are working on achieving your career goals? What kind of jobs in the private, non-profit and NGO sector should you work in that will still give you the skills and experience that will be relevant and sought after by the agencies, organizations or companies you are interested in joining. This seminar will focus on the jobs you can pursue while you are waiting for your dream job to become a reality.

RSVP KBridges@iwp.edu if you plan to attend.

Please note that this event is only open to IWP students and alumni.
