About the lecture:
How can one use fiction to tease out future plausible scenarios affecting geopolitical relations and espionage activities? In this book-lecture, author Seth Chanowitz will use his extensive professional experience in the field of intelligence to present an answer to this question, and read select excerpts from his newly released spy novel, “Russia Rising”.

About the novel:
“Russia Rising” is an international espionage thriller set within the tensions between Russia and the West. It tells the story of a global confrontation that erupts following the “Teddy Bear” bombing of Belarus by Finnish and Estonian-American human rights activists. It takes places in Finland, Estonia, Russia, Belarus, and the United States.

About the author:
Mr. Chanowitz is a former Intelligence Analyst, who has worked at the Terrorist Threat Integration Center (TTIC) and the National Counter Terrorism Center (NCTC) from their inception in 2003 to 2005. At the NCTC and TTIC, Mr. Chanowitz was cited for making contributions to integrated intelligence assessments regarding terrorism and terrorist threats to United States homeland and United States interests globally.
