Patrick Harvey has been a Foreign Affairs Officer for the Department of State since 2002. In that time, he has promoted democracy and human rights in West Africa, served as a Political Officer for the Dhi Qar Provincial Reconstruction Team located near Nasiriyah, Iraq, and as a Political Military Officer at Embassy Baghdad. Patrick now promotes human rights and democracy in the Balkans where he focuses on fundamental freedoms. Patrick has served as an official election observer for the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, and has done short term assignments at the American Embassies in Tirana, Albania and Freetown Sierra Leone, as well as the U.S. Mission to International Organizations in Vienna.
