About the seminar: This course is designed to introduce the history and impact of Cyber Terrorism in today’s world. Students will receive a thorough understanding of cyber terrorism as it is employed by National, Sub-National groups and rogue actors. You will be exposed to current policy and law in regard to cyber and through labs and papers develop policy to protect and counter this new form of terrorism.
About the instructor: Paul Davis has over 30 years of combined business and intelligence operations experience. He is the owner of JANUSThink, a consulting firm. He has experience in both strategic and tactical political/military analysis that has spanned from the Cold War to the current upheaval in the Middle East. Beginning as a Soviet analyst, he assessed tactical capabilities as well as senior political issues that arose within the politburo and the impact it had on U.S. doctrine. Following the collapse of the Soviet Union, Mr. Davis began to focus on analysis of North Korea, assessing its new tactics and technologies, including cyber operations. Later, he moved to the Middle East and transitioned his focus to the analysis of Iran, Syria, and Iraq. B.A. from Kean College of New Jersey and M.A. from the American Military University.
