Daniel LegerJoin Dr. Leger in a discussion of his recent book, Reality Check: Neoconservatism, Realism and The Battle for How the World Really Is. Taking the perspective of a political philosopher, Dr. Leger examines the moral, strategic and political basis to neoconservatism and how it contrasts with the moral relativism of the more mainstream academic traditions.  This leads to a consideration of the relevance of common sense to politics, science and strategic thought as well as to other fields like investing and economics.

Dr. Leger works for Akre Capital Management, an asset manager with over $4.5 billion in partnership and mutual fund assets based in Middleburg, Virginia. Prior to entering the investment business, he spent several years in academia and holds a Ph.D. in political philosophy and international relations from the University of Notre Dame.
