BGEN Nicholson will discuss Normandy and other American cemeteries and monuments. He will recall how the USA and our Allies launched into the liberation of Europe from the Nazi invaders. June 6, 1944 saw the largest military operation in the history of the world, despite the fact that we were fighting elsewhere in multiple theaters. It succeeded, and was an example of successful statecraft.
RADM Rogers will discuss operational and command and control aspects of D-Day, and Brig. Gen. Jajko will speak on his personal and professional reflections and perspectives, particularly the role of the Army/Air Corps on D-Day.
