This event is the inaugural lecture of IWP’s Student Speaker Series.

There are many ways to serve your country, but regardless of which path you choose, it is beneficial and useful to understand what public service meant to those who founded it. This talk will analyze the personal beliefs George Washington and Thomas Jefferson held, and important character traits they exhibited in their commitment to the United States. Although circumstances change, their lessons on public service should not.

Samuel Greenwood graduated from the Citadel with a major in history. He spent four years in the Marine Corps as an Infantry Officer. He is currently working for Rio Tinto mining company and pursuing his MA in Strategic Intelligence Studies at IWP.
