CH (COL) William E. Godwin-Stremler

Army Chaplain (Colonel) Ted Godwin-Stremler is an ordained minister in the Reformed Church in America. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible and Theology from San Jose Bible College and a Master of Divinity degree from Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, California. After serving churches in Merritt, Michigan and Boulder City, Nevada, Ted joined the Army full time as a Chaplain in 1996. In his work as a chaplain he has been stationed in Germany, Hawaii, and Texas. Ted currently resides on Fort Belvoir, Virginia. He served a tour of duty in Baghdad Iraq from 2004 to 2005.

Presently Ted works in the Pentagon projecting overall strength, numbers and promotions for chaplains in the Army worldwide.

Prior to becoming a minister and chaplain, Ted served in the United States Coast Guard as Hospital Corpsman. During college and seminary he was a chaplain candidate in the United States Navy, then the Michigan Army National Guard and the Army Reserve.
