Adjunct Language Professor, Arabic Instructor for the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration
Prof. Mekki has been an Arabic language instructor at The Institute of World Politics since August 2012. Currently, he also teaches Arabic language to professionals at the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Prior to moving to the United States in 2005, Prof. Mekki lived in Egypt for five years, where he worked as an Arabic-English translator and interpreter. He was born and raised in Sudan.
Prof. Mekki graduated from the City College of New York in May 2010 with a double major in Political Science and International Studies.
