The past few months that I have spent at The Institute of World Politics have been nothing short of exceptional. The lessons that I have learned from IWP faculty, staff, students, and special guests are invaluable, and I will carry them with me throughout my career. The challenges to better my public speaking, research, and networking abilities were met with great support from the IWP community, and I have gained much confidence in these areas that I was not as strong in before the internship.
I have made many amazing friends who share similar interests in the continued protection of the United States through intelligence, international affairs, national security practices, and more. This created an engaging environment that allowed for diverse discussion, which has made me a well-rounded student. I will cherish the many fond memories made with my cohort, such as D.C. outings, attending conferences, and meetings with my research group, and I hope to create even more as I continue my studies at IWP.

Immense thanks to the very inspirational leaders of our research group for your dedication to improving my and our entire research group’s research skills on an advanced level and giving insight into the intelligence community. Their input and professionalism align with IWP’s dedication to the development of leaders in national security and international affairs.
A thank you to fearless leaders Missy and Inna for being active, organized, and compassionate in all aspects of the internship to ensure the success and operation of this amazing program.
As I reflect on all that I have absorbed through this internship, I am sorry that it is coming to an end but am so excited for what’s to come next as I begin my formal education at IWP.
