Fall 2025 IWP InternsMy advice for future IWP interns is to approach every challenge presented here with your best effort. The Institute was founded to fill a gap in statecraft, diplomatic, and intelligence that was not commonly taught in our nation’s curriculum. Every aspect of the IWP internship experience ties into these necessities, from the briefings to the philosophy class you will take. Giving it your all will not go unnoticed!
This internship is special in the number of interns and your proximity to each other, so be sure to take advantage of the city! We are operating in a social environment where networking is the backbone of your future opportunities — being social now will pay off later.
Above all else, accept volunteer opportunities and invitations to IWP events when they are presented to you. Participation will not only reward you with a sharpened skill set, new connections, and opportunities, but it will also show that you are serious about pursuing a future at The Institute of World Politics. I would particularly like to thank Lana, Shannon, and Shayla. They are all phenomenal at what they do and are always excited to take on interns who are willing to assist when needed!
