About Russian Language Study at IWP

Saint Basil's Cathedral in MoscowRussia is a strong diplomatic player regionally and globally. Russia enjoys a major role as a key energy exporter — oil and gas, as well as other minerals and resources — and continues to attract business interest.

Russia is also in a state of change. politically, economically, socially and demographically.  These changes have dramatic implications not only for Russians, but also for their neighbors and the United States.

In these days of dynamic changes, mutual understanding is critical, and one of the best ways to learn about Russian culture and the Russian people is by learning the language. Only language can open the door to understanding cultural nuances and can give access to a wealth of information, which would otherwise be inaccessible.

IWP currently offers the following Russian language courses:

IWP 950 – Beginning Russian I

IWP 951 – Beginning Russian II

IWP 952 – Intermediate Russian I

IWP 954 – Advanced Russian I

These courses may be taken as a part of IWP’s Continuing Education Program.
