Katie Bridges

Katie Bridges currently serves as Senior Vice President for Alumni Affairs and Communications at IWP, where she has worked in various capacities since 2009, including roles on the events and advancement teams.

The recipient of the 2024 IWP President’s Award for “Above and Beyond” Service to IWP, Katie works to strengthen engagement across the IWP community. Her achievements include developing and implementing systems that support the Institute’s events and alumni programs,  working with IWP’s generous alumni to establish and grow an Alumni Scholarship fund, overseeing hundreds of academic and public events, and producing communications that connect students, alumni, faculty, and supporters. 

In her current role, she oversees IWP’s alumni affairs, communications, and media functions, while also serving as an administrator for the Board of Trustees.

Prior to joining IWP, Katie worked for philanthropic and research-focused nonprofit organizations. Katie has a B.A. in Politics from the University of Dallas, where she graduated summa cum laude and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.
