In a paper delivered at Columbia University, IWP Academic Dean and Professor of History Marek Chodakiewicz examines aspects of the conflict between traditional and progressive views of American and Polish culture. Contending that “‘Progressives’ have focused on Poland as a substitute target for a larger assault on traditional American values,” Dr. Chodakiewicz contrasts the views of George Weigel and Jan Tomasz Gross in their discussion of anti-Semitism in Poland after World War II.
