U.S. Army publishes alumnus’ research on Hezbollah in South America

The U.S. Army’s Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) has re-published research by IWP alumnus Cyrus Miryekta on Hezbollah in South America.  (The article was first published in the Small Wars Journal.)

Specifically, the article was published by TRADOC’s Combined Arms Center (often referred to as the “Intellectual Center of the U.S. Army), by a sub-unit called the Center for Lessons Learned (CALL) in a reader entitled: Stability OPS in the Western HemisphereCALL is a unit which analyzes and disseminates information for the U.S. Army to utilize while writing its doctrine. CALL also disseminates information to other branches of the military, as well as other government agencies and U.S. allies. TRADOC also has the U.S. Army’s mandatory school for mid- and senior-level officers.

Cyrus’ piece, “Hezbollah in the Tri-Border Area of South America,” is published alongside an article by IWP professor Dr. Norman A. Bailey: “What are the Persians Doing Over Here?”

Cyrus comments that, “I could not have done this without IWP and, most notably for this project, Professor Tsagronis.”
