Kosciuszko Chair of Polish Studies inaugurated at IWP

Lady Blanca Rosenstiel speaks at the inauguration of the Kosciuszko Chair at IWP, 7 Nov 2008On November 7, 2008 The Institute of World Politics formally inaugurated the Kosciuszko Chair of Polish Studies.  The first holder of the Kosciuszko Chair at IWP will be Academic Dean and Professor of History, Marek Jan Chodakiewicz.  The Chair has been endowed by the American Institute of Polish Culture.  Pictured at left is the President of AIPC, Lady Blanka Rosenstiel.

To mark the inauguration, IWP held a daylong policy briefing session attended by more than 70 benefactors, alumni, and friends.  The briefing featured remarks by seven IWP professors on subjects ranging from U.S. interests in Eastern and Central Europe to natural law and the defense of Western civilization.
