The Institute of World Politics is pleased to announce the hiring of a new Executive Vice President, Douglas C. Mills.

Doug brings a wealth of experience in administration, financial management, and institutional advancement which will be instrumental to our success. He has a distinguished career, having contributed to the strategic growth and objectives of several organizations.”
In his new role, Mr. Mills will be directly responsible for the business functions of the Institute, including management of the administrative staff, and will work closely with the Academic Dean to support the academic mission.
Previously, Mr. Mills served as Executive Vice President of the Intercollegiate Studies Institute, joining ISI as Chief Operating Officer in July 2008. Before joining ISI, Mr. Mills was Executive Vice President of the Media Research Center for 12 years, shepherding a five-fold budget increase during his tenure. Prior to that, he was Director of Development Funds at Hillsdale College, following a successful career in banking and financial services. Mr. Mills holds a Bachelors of Liberal Studies in Economics and Business Administration from Hillsdale College.
A Michigan native, he resides in Alexandria, Virginia with his wife, Kristen. They have five children between them, all of whom live in Northern Virginia.
