IWP research professor discusses the struggle for freedom in Cuba

On May 18, 2012, Tania Mastrapa, Research Professor in Cuban and Latin American Studies at IWP, discussed “An Act of Solidarity with the People of Cuba: The Struggle for Freedom Continues” as part of a panel discussion co-hosted by the Heritage Foundation and the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation.  

Hon. Connie Mack (R-FL), Chairman of the Subcommittee on the Western Hemisphere, Committee on Foreign Affairs, United States House of Representatives, gave keynote remarks. A discussion followed with Dr. Mastrapa; Normando Hernandez, Reagan Fascell Democracy Fellow at the National Endowment for Democracy; and Vanessa Lopez, Research Associate at the Institute for Cuban and Cuban-American Studies at the University of Miami.
