On December 24, IWP Professor John J. Tierney, Jr. will appear on Danger Zone, a dynamic weekly program that gives radio audiences an insight into terrorism, foreign policy, democratic movements and the workings of intelligence agencies around the world.

Danger Zone’s host, Ambassador Richard Carlson, is an experienced journalist, diplomat and former United States Ambassador. Carlson was director of the Voice of America for six years, the longest running director-general in the 50-year history of VOA. He also was president of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
Danger Zone reaches a potential audience of 31 million people weekly, and is on Sirius XM channel 120 every Monday night at 7:00 PM. The show with Dr. Tierney will be broadcast on December 24 at 7:00 PM, and again on February 18 at 7:00 PM.
Dr. Tierney is currently Walter Kohler Professor of International Relations; Academic Dean, Ad Interim; and Chairman of the Admissions Committee at The Institute of World Politics. Formerly, he has served as a Special Assistant and Foreign Affairs Officer for the U.S. Arms Control and Disarmament Agency, as a participant in various national security negotiations for the U.S. Government, as Executive Director of the Congressional Caucus on National Defense and the National Security Research Group at the U.S. House of Representatives, as Chairman of the Politics Department at Catholic University, and as a Professor of International Relations at the University of Virginia and The Johns Hopkins University.
