Tania C. Mastrapa, research professor in Cuban and Latin American Studies at The Institute of World Politics, will host a seminar this summer on property rights violations by the Nazis and Communists and challenges to restitution in Germany, Poland, Romania, and Cuba. The seminar will specifically address the confiscation and recovery process of artwork, antiques, jewelry and other heritage items.
The event will be sponsored by Mastrapa Consultants, which focuses on privatization and confiscated property in Cuba. Dr. Mastrapa is a specialist in Communist and post-Communist property reform in Europe and Latin America.
