A new keycard system has been installed at IWP by Innovative Security to replace the keypad entry system. All faculty, staff, and students will be issued keycards, which will open the front door to the Marlatt Mansion and the front and back doors of Bently Hall.
“This system will make the building more secure and will allow us to monitor who accesses the facility,” says Operations Manager Mike Webber. “I’m glad that we are continuing to take steps to make our students, faculty, and staff safer.”
The keycard system is currently operational, and the keypad system will be turned off in a few weeks. Keycards can be picked up at the front desk in the lobby. Alumni will be issued keycards upon request, and can contact Mike Webber at mwebber@iwp.edu for more details.
Students can also use the keycards as ID cards for student discounts around Washington, D.C.
