A team of ten IWP students, mentored by IWP US Army War College Fellow LTC John Kallerson, will compete in the next CSIS-U.S. Army War College International Strategic Crisis Negotiation Exercise on April 4-5. This exercise is geared towards students of diplomacy and international relations, and consists of a two-day immersion in negotiation.
Student Ann-Elise Quinn, who has spearheaded Team IWP, comments: “I’m really so pleased that this is coming together. Everyone seems excited about the exercise. I know we’re all going to do our best, and use the knowledge we’ve been gaining at IWP.”
The student participants in this exercise have already begun to research issues that might come up as a part of the simulation. They plan to get together the week of the exercise to brainstorm potential strategies.
